Job summary

Realworks BV is seeking an Android Developer in Amsterdam. You will contribute to two apps: Realworks and Move.nl, delivering high-quality features and optimised performance for both B2B and B2C users.

You will collaborate with 2 Android Developers, 4 iOS Developers, and a Product Owner to ship reliable, user-friendly software. You'll work in a hands-on mobile team with a culture that values balance, growth, and hands-on initiative, while enjoying a central Amsterdam office and flexible hybrid

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin and Java.
• Experience with MVVM and Clean Architecture.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and Android Jetpack.
• Proficient with RxJava2, Espresso and JUnit.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android apps for Realworks and Move.nl.
• Collaborate with a team of Android and iOS developers and a Product Owner.
• Ensure apps are fast, reliable and user-friendly.
• Implement new features and improve performance across both apps.

Job description

As an Android Developer at Realworks you will work on two apps that are used daily: the Realworks app by more than 18,000 real estate agents (B2B) and the Move.nl app by over 100,000 consumers (B2C). This means our apps always need to perform optimally. Within the Mobile team at Realworks, you get the chance to work on solid apps with many possibilities and direct impact!

Our users are not only real estate agents who want to manage their work quickly and efficiently while on the go, but also consumers who are buying or selling a home. Real estate agents use the Realworks app, for example, to place a new property online with photos and floor plans or to quickly search through current listings. Consumers use the Move.nl app to gain insight into their own property or a property they have purchased. The main reason to join our Mobile team is to show your amazing skills to improve both apps and their functionalities, while ensuring they remain user-friendly.

Your team

You will work together with 2 Android Developers, 4 iOS Developers, and a Product Owner. Together, you ensure the apps run smoothly, and that new features are rolled out seamlessly. We work hard, but we also value having fun: grabbing a drink together, taking a lunch walk, or joining events like Dam tot Dam is part of the culture.

There is no fixed set of skills required to become the best Android Developer at Realworks, but you are familiar with the following tech stack:

• Strong knowlegde of Kotlin;
• Ability to work with Java code;
• DI: Dagger 2 and Hilt;
• Strong knowledge of Rest API
• Basic knowledge of GraphQI
• Strong understanding of MVVM and ability to work with Clean Architecture;
• Android SDK and Android Jetpack(DataBinding, Compose, Room);
• Ability to work with RxJava2;
• Espresso and Junit.

Additionally, you are:

• Having a bachelor degree;
• Results-oriented;
• Curious and eager to learn;
• Communicative;
• Problem-solving
• Proficient in English and preferably Dutch;
• Open to exploring new technologies.
