Job summary

Floryn is a fast-growing Dutch fintech delivering flexible business financing. As a Data (Analytics) Engineer, you’ll build scalable data foundations, write code, model data, define metrics and automate quality checks, influencing decisions across the business.

You’ll transform data models, implement semantic layers, and automate checks, using dbt, SQL and Python. The role blends engineering with analytics in a collaborative, hybrid setup in the Netherlands.

Qualifications

• Two+ years in data, analytics or eng near data.
• Strong SQL and cloud data warehouse experience (BigQuery/Snowflake/Redshift or similar).
• Experience building reliable/reusable data models and working with version control, testing and documentation; dbt is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect, optimize and transform data models in dbt to enable fast, reliable data access.
• Build semantic layer to define metrics once and use consistently.
• Automate checks and root-cause analysis around key metrics; write SQL and use Python for prototyping and analysis.
• Maintain data and code quality with version control, testing, and documentation.
• Collaborate with Analysts, Data Scientists, Developers and Commercial teams to translate business questions into the right metric or data solution.
