Job summary

DDBM, a Data & AI consultancy in Amsterdam, seeks an Analytics Engineer to transform raw data into decision-ready assets and operations. You’ll build scalable models and pipelines using dbt and Snowflake, and translate business needs into robust data solutions.

You will collaborate with analysts and clients, applying AI tools to increase speed and accuracy, while contributing to a hybrid work setup and ongoing certifications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer roles
• Hands-on with dbt and Snowflake in production
• Strong SQL and Python proficiency
• Knowledge of data modelling and Medallion architecture
• Familiar with Git, CI/CD, Agile
• Analytical and proactive
• Good communication in Dutch and English

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable data models and pipelines in dbt and Snowflake.
• Define semantic layer with KPIs, metrics, and business logic in code.
• Deliver clean Gold-layer datasets for Tableau, Sigma, Power BI, etc.
• Write complex SQL and Python for ETL and data quality checks.
• Use AI tools (Claude, GitHub Copilot) to boost productivity.
• Collaborate with analysts and clients to translate data needs into technical solutions.
• Develop domain knowledge with clients to align models with business practices.

DDBM is a Data & AI consulting firm that helps organisations transform raw data into decision-ready data and decision-ready operations. We are official partners of Snowflake, Anthropic, dbt, and Tableau. For our growing team, we are looking for an Analytics Engineer who can transform data into reliable, decision-ready data and use AI as a daily tool.

What will you be doing?

• Build and maintain scalable data models and pipelines in dbt and Snowflake based on the Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold)
• Defining the semantic layer: capturing KPIs, metrics, and business logic in code
• Delivering clean Gold-layer datasets as a data source for Tableau, Sigma Computing, Power BI , and others
• Writing (complex) SQL and Python for data extraction, transformation, and quality assurance
• Actively using AI tools (Claude, GitHub Copilot) to work faster and more effectively
• Collaborate with business analysts and clients to translate data needs into technical solutions
• Building domain knowledge with clients so that your data models always align with business practices

What’s on your resume?

• At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, or similar role
• Hands-on experience with dbt and Snowflake in production environments
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
• Knowledge of data modelling and the Medallion architecture
• Familiar with Git, CI/CD, and agile development
• Analytical, quality-oriented, and proactive
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English
