Job summary

BlockTech is seeking a Quantitative Research Intern for Summer 2027 in Amsterdam. This 8–10 week program will place you in a small team, offering an end-to-end project with real business impact and a mentor-supported environment.

You will gain exposure to financial markets, complete a research project from design to deployment, and learn how trading, data, and infrastructure interconnect. English communication and Python knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Currently in your (pen)ultimate year studying a quantitative field at a top university in Europe.
• Available full-time in Amsterdam, for 8–10 weeks over the summer of 2027, starting on the 5th of July.
• Working knowledge of Python.
• Clear communication in English and strong ownership.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a customized training program to understand financial markets and the project.
• Own a research project from design to deployment guided by Quantitative Researchers.
• Understand how technology and research enable trading, market data, and infrastructure systems.
• Collaborate with researchers and software engineers to bring your project to success.
• Learn from experienced professionals while using cutting-edge technology.
