Job summary

Chane is seeking an Allround Operator for our Geulhaven terminal in the Rotterdam area. You will join a continuous 5-shift operation, working alongside colleagues to ensure safe and efficient daily terminal activities across loading, unloading and storage of liquid bulk products.

You will follow established procedures, monitor processes, and participate in safety rounds, audits and shift handovers. Fluency in Dutch and English, a strong safety mindset, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• MBO Level 4 or equivalent education with process-industry exposure.
• Experience as an operator in process industry, tank storage, or similar.
• Fluency in Dutch and English is required; safety-conscious and precise.

Responsibilities

• Perform loading, unloading and storage of products.
• Monitor processes and identify deviations or malfunctions.
• Conduct inspections and safety rounds at the terminal.
• Collaborate with colleagues, supervisors and external parties.
• Maintain safe, clean and organized working environment.
• Assist with maintenance and resolve minor technical issues.
• Record operational information and ensure proper shift handovers.

For our Geulhaven terminal (CTGE), we are looking for an Allround Operator to join our continuous shift operation (5-shift system). In this role, you will work closely with your colleagues to ensure the safe and efficient execution of daily terminal operations. You will be broadly deployable across the terminal and have opportunities to further develop your skills and career.

Where will you be working?

Chane provides storage, transshipment, and logistics services for liquid bulk products from multiple terminals in the Port of Rotterdam.

At our Geulhaven terminal, you will work with a variety of liquid bulk products. We handle the loading and unloading of vessels, barges, and tank trucks. You will be part of a dynamic industrial environment where safety and quality are our top priorities.

What will you do at Chane?

As an Allround Operator, you will work together with your colleagues to ensure the safe and efficient execution of daily operational activities. You will follow established procedures and work instructions while closely monitoring operational processes.

Your responsibilities include:

• Performing a variety of operational activities related to the loading, unloading, and storage of products;
• Monitoring processes and identifying deviations, irregularities, or malfunctions;
• Conducting inspections and safety rounds throughout the terminal;
• Working closely with colleagues, supervisors, and external parties;
• Contributing to a safe, clean, and well-organized working environment;
• Assisting with maintenance activities and resolving minor technical issues;
• Recording relevant operational information and ensuring proper shift handovers.

What knowledge and experience do you bring?

• MBO Level 4 working and thinking level or equivalent;
• Experience as an operator within the process industry, tank storage, or a similar environment;
• Good command of both Dutch and English;
• Strong commitment to safety and a high sense of responsibility;
• Accurate working style and the ability to follow procedures and work instructions;
• Independent, flexible, and solution-oriented mindset;
• Strong teamwork and communication skills;
• Willingness to work in a continuous shift schedule.
