FIDDS Design is a boutique UX studio in the Eindhoven region, tackling complex, data-heavy enterprise interfaces for demanding clients. You’ll join a team of UX researchers and designers on a long-term project for ASML, shaping how production software looks and works.

Qualifications

The project is growing, which is why we’re expanding the team. You’ll join FIDDS colleagues who are already doing UX research and design there.* You draw the real question out of users and stakeholders;* You work up flows and wireframes, and build the prototypes;* You deliver screen designs the development team can actually build;* You design within the existing design system;* You weigh in on what belongs in scope and what doesn’t, so the team works on the right things.To set expectations: this is a long game. The organisation is big, the subject matter is genuinely complex, and getting to the bottom of it takes time. Your design has to be rock solid, because it shapes a production process where the stakes are high.That complexity also means the direction of a project is often unclear, and you’re the one expected to help the organisation find it. Which brings political discussions, and project leadership that won’t always hand you a worked-out brief. You’ll work in multidisciplinary teams full of experts and opinions, and you’ll need to hold your own.## What you bring* At least 3 years with enterprise applications, or other interfaces that put a lot of information on one screen;* The ability to get from a rough problem to a working screen design on your own;* Experience designing inside an existing design system, and the discipline to keep doing it;* Range: you can read research, do the design work, and hold your own in a conversation with developers;* Professional-level Dutch or English;* A base in the Eindhoven region.## Additionally you have* Independence. You get on with it. You don’t wait for a brief, and if the question isn’t sharp yet, you sharpen it;* A feel for complexity. Plenty of stakeholders and legacy systems that have been running for years don’t put you off;* The nerve to hold your own among other experts. In a team with strong opinions you back up your choices and have the argument, even when it turns political;* The urge to shape how we work, not just what we deliver.
