Job summary

Insify in the Netherlands is seeking a Software Engineer with over 3 years of experience to join the Claims team. You will play a key role in building the AI-native claims management system from the ground up, which is crucial for transforming SME insurance claims.

The position offers competitive compensation between €65,000 and €85,000 per year, along with true ownership, a steep learning curve, and a collaborative team environment in Amsterdam.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally with TypeScript and AWS.
• A high bar for correctness and auditability.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, state machine design, and API integration.
• Comfort with ambiguity in translating specifications into working software.
• Ownership instinct to treat the system as yours.
• Ability to use AI tools for coding and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Build the AI-native claims management platform from the ground up.
• Design and ship the core claims lifecycle features.
• Build and maintain integrations with carrier systems.
• Own the financial module for claims including payout authorization.
• Partner with Operations to automate workflows.
• Set high engineering standards for the claims domain.
• Own incidents and operational health for claims.
