Job summary

Monday Merch, based in Rotterdam, is building an AI-powered automation platform to streamline branded merchandise operations. This role focuses on turning ideas into practical workflows used by real teams.

You will prototype AI assistants, design prompts and guardrails, and work with the engineering team to connect prototypes to familiar tools. The position emphasizes hands-on delivery and working in our Rotterdam office.

Qualifications

• Shipped practical automations or AI workflows, not only demos.
• Ability to work with prompts, APIs, no-code tools, scripts, spreadsheets, and product data.
• Good product sense: builds are simple, fast, and trustworthy.

Responsibilities

• Identify high-leverage workflows across sales, operations, purchasing, finance, customer success, and warehouse.
• Prototype AI assistants, workflow automations, and internal tools for real problems.
• Turn messy inputs into clear actions.
• Design prompts, evaluation sets, guardrails, and feedback loops for trusted AI output.
• Collaborate with the tech team to connect prototypes to existing tools.
• Roll out improvements with teams and refine after launch.

Monday Merch is building a faster, smarter way for companies to create branded merchandise. We combine a strong customer experience with the operational muscle needed to source, produce, personalize, and deliver merch at scale.

AI should make that system feel lighter. It should help teams find answers faster, remove repetitive work, catch issues earlier, and create a better experience for customers. We are looking for someone who can turn that idea into practical workflows people actually use.

We are already applying AI across engineering and operational workflows, not treating it as a side experiment. You will get access to the newest models and tools, including ChatGPT, Claude, and other frontier AI products, and help push that work further.

Location & work mode

This role is based in our Rotterdam office. We work together in person because the best automation ideas usually come from being close to the teams who run the business every day.

What you'll do

• Find high-leverage workflows across sales, operations, purchasing, finance, customer success, and the warehouse.

• Prototype AI assistants, workflow automations, and internal tools that solve real problems.

• Turn messy inputs from emails, product data, supplier files, order notes, and internal docs into clear actions.

• Design prompts, evaluation sets, guardrails, and feedback loops so AI output can be trusted.

• Work with the tech team to connect proven prototypes to the tools people already use.

• Roll out improvements with the teams who will own them, and keep refining after launch.

Experience with tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, OpenAI APIs, Make, Zapier, n8n, Airtable, Google Sheets automation, Python, JavaScript, SQL, or similar is useful. You do not need to know all of them. The important part is that you can choose the right tool for the job and ship something dependable.
