Job summary

Metyis AG in Amsterdam is seeking an AI Architect with 3–5 years of experience for a full‑time role to join our Data & Analytics team.

You will design scalable AI foundations, collaborate with data, IT and business stakeholders, and implement cloud-based AI and data pipelines following best practices.

This position offers exposure to a wide range of AI tools and cloud platforms within a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, data engineering, IT architecture, or a closely related field, with exposure to AI/ML technologies and platforms.
• Good understanding of AI and ML components, such as model serving, data pipelines, vector databases, APIs, and orchestration frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (Azure, AWS, or GCP), with Azure and/or Databricks a plus.
• Practical experience with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker and/or Kubernetes), and monitoring tools.
• Understanding of data architecture concepts, including data warehouses, data lakes, data pipelines, and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, reliable, and secure technical foundations for AI solutions.
• Work closely with data, IT, and business stakeholders to understand technical requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
• Support the design and implementation of AI applications, data pipelines, and cloud-based solutions, following established architectural principles and best practices.
• Contribute to technical specifications and documentation, follow up on development activities, and support testing and acceptance activities.
• Support the integration, deployment, and scaling of AI systems across relevant technology environments.
• Monitor the performance, reliability, and cost of AI infrastructure and applications, identifying issues and supporting their resolution.
• Participate in technical discussions and project governance forums, clearly communicating technical topics, progress, and potential risks.
• Identify technical challenges and risks during delivery and work with senior team members to develop appropriate solutions and mitigation strategies.
• Continuously develop knowledge of emerging AI, cloud, data, and infrastructure technologies and share relevant learnings with the wider team.

What you will do

What you will bring
