Job summary

PAL Aerospace, a Canadian-owned global aerospace and defence company, is seeking a Project Manager to join our Programs Department in St. John’s, NL.

The role focuses on delivering aircraft modification programs on time and within budget, with emphasis on analytics and stakeholder communication. The successful candidate will manage project lifecycles, establish project plans, and lead cross-functional teams while adhering to PM methodologies.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business or related subject.
• A minimum of 5 years of direct work experience in project management is preferred.
• Project management certification and PMP certification is considered an asset.
• Experience working with internal and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrated results oriented approach to projects.
• Demonstrated success in project delivery and execution of project management methods.
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient delivery of project deliverables.
• Establish a project plan for each approved project, defining goals, objectives, risks, staffing, roles and responsibilities, WBS, milestones and deliverables.
• Manage project activities throughout lifecycle including resources, scheduling, documentation, budget, and related factors.
• Report on project health with a focus on analytics and suggest optimization.
• Communicate expectations and project status to stakeholders and senior management.
• Establish, implement, and follow a formal change management program.
• Adhere to established project management methodologies.
• Produce regular reports on progress and adherence to budgets.
• Identify and resolve conflicts within project teams.
• Conduct project post-mortems and implement improvements.
