Job summary

The International Baccalaureate invites applications for an Assessment Content Developer to help shape the future of education through high-quality assessment design and development.

You will create and refine assessments for IB programmes, collaborate with educators across regions, and advocate the use of technology in assessment, including eMarking and on-screen formats.

We seek candidates with subject expertise, teaching experience, and a passion for international education.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in the subject (or related subject).
• Minimum two years’ experience teaching the subject to DP students (16–18).
• Detailed up-to-date knowledge of the subject.
• Familiar with principles and challenges of good assessment, including design of assessments.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for technology in assessment processes.
• Understanding of and commitment to international education.
• Ability to communicate, read documents and write reports in English.

Assessment content developers are involved in the creation and fine-tuning of assessments to ensure that they are fit for purpose.

You must:

• have a degree or equivalent in the subject (or a related subject) for which you are applying,
• have a minimum of two years’ experience teaching the subject (or a related subject) for which they are applying to students of 16 to 18 years (DP),
• have a detailed, up-to-date knowledge of the subject for which they are applying,
• be familiar with the principles and challenges of good assessment including the design of assessments,
• demonstrate a high level of enthusiasm for the use of technology in assessment processes, including the use of eMarking tools and on-screen assessment,
• demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to international education,
• have the ability to communicate, read documents and write reports in English.
