Job summary

Expertum is seeking a Country Finance Lead in Sittard, The Netherlands, offering a full-time role (32-40 hours) focused on financial administration, closing and compliance for one or more entities within an SAP-driven international environment.

You will own the monthly closing, maintain the general ledger, ensure local VAT and statutory requirements, and align reports with the group. Collaboration with the CFO and Group Controller is key.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in finance or controlling.
• Strong experience with financial closing and balance sheet management.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the monthly closing process, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness.
• Maintain and control the general ledger, including accruals, journal entries and reconciliations.
• Ensure local compliance, including VAT returns and statutory requirements.
• Align local financials with group reporting, ensuring consistency and transparency.
• Prepare audit documentation and support external audits.
• Manage intercompany reconciliations and ensure correct application of accounting policies.
• Identify and drive improvements in financial processes and SAP systems.
• Support and guide local finance team members, while acting as a sparring partner to the CFO and Group Controller.

The Job

As Country Finance Lead, you are responsible for the financial administration, closing and compliance of one or more entities, ensuring reliable reporting towards the group.

Your key responsibilities:

Your profile
