Job summary

Atos SE seeks a seasoned Account Chief Technology Officer for Defence in the Netherlands. You will define the technology vision and roadmap for a strategic Defence account, engaging senior stakeholders and translating developments in AI, cloud and cybersecurity into tangible Defence use cases.

You will collaborate across sales, architecture, consulting and delivery teams while ensuring security and compliance for mission-critical requirements, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Around 10+ years in senior technology, architecture or technology leadership roles.
• Experience with Defence, government or other complex public-sector environments.
• Experience working with C-level and senior executive stakeholders.
• Broad enterprise tech knowledge across cloud, AI, cybersecurity and data.
• Proven pre-sales experience and complex technology sales cycles.
• Ability to translate complex tech topics into clear business value and strategy.
• Fluent Dutch and English, Dutch mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the technology vision and roadmap for the Defence account.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior customer stakeholders including CIOs/CTOs/architects.
• Translate AI, cloud, cybersecurity and data developments into Defence use cases.
• Identify and shape opportunities early, including before tender processes.
• Build sponsorship and develop clear value propositions with budget owners.
• Support pre-sales activities, proposals and high-level solution direction.
• Collaborate with sales, architecture, consulting and delivery teams.
• Ensure security, compliance and mission-critical requirements are addressed.
• Represent Atos as senior technology leader within Defence market.

The Role

As Account Chief Technology Officer (ACTO) – Defence, you will be a senior, client-facing technology leader responsible for defining the technology vision and roadmap for one of our strategic Defence accounts in the Netherlands.

You will work closely with senior customer stakeholders to understand their strategic and operational challenges, identify relevant technology developments and translate these into realistic opportunities and solutions. The role combines technology leadership, strategic advisory and commercial opportunity development.

Your Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the technology vision and roadmap for the Defence account
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior customer stakeholders, including CIOs, CTOs, architects and operational leaders
• Translate developments in AI, cloud, cybersecurity and data into relevant Defence use cases
• Identify and shape new opportunities at an early stage, including before formal tender processes
• Work with customer stakeholders and budget owners to build sponsorship and develop clear value propositions
• Support pre-sales activities, proposals, business cases and high-level solution direction
• Work closely with sales, architecture, consulting and delivery teams
• Ensure proposed technology directions consider security, compliance and mission-critical requirements
• Represent Atos as a senior technology leader within the Defence market

Your Profile

• Around 10+ years of experience in senior technology, architecture or technology leadership roles
• Strong client-facing experience, preferably within Defence, government or another complex public-sector environment
• Experience working with C-level and senior executive stakeholders
• Broad enterprise technology knowledge across areas such as cloud, AI, cybersecurity and data
• Experience with pre-sales, opportunity development or complex technology sales cycles
• The ability to translate complex technical topics into clear business value and strategic direction
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills
• A relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or significant equivalent professional experience
• Fluent Dutch and English, both written and spoken. Dutch is mandatory for this position
• Willingness to travel depending on customer and account requirements
  

Experience within the Dutch Defence ecosystem, Ministries of Defence, Defence agencies or mission-critical IT environments would be a strong advantage.

Certifications such as TOGAF, Azure/AWS or CISSP are considered an advantage but are not mandatory.
