Job summary

GardPass Consulting & Space in Brunssum, Netherlands, seeks an experienced Core Services engineer to design, implement, and operate large-scale IT infrastructure across on-premises and hybrid environments. You will lead AD DS, GPO, DNS/DHCP, PKI, Entra ID, and Windows Server deployments, with a focus on security hardening and IaC.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent experience in CS/IT/Engineering.
• 5+ years designing and deploying enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Experience with AD DS, DNS/DHCP, PKI, Entra ID and hybrid identity.
• Windows Server administration and virtualization experience.
• Strong documentation and technical writing abilities.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, implement, integrate, validate, and deploy Core Services solutions across CIS environments.
• Develop technical designs aligned with project objectives, requirements, implementation schedules, and stakeholder expectations.
• Install, configure, integrate, test, and support Core Services components and associated infrastructure.
• Deliver infrastructure and CIS projects including planning, design, deployment, migration, testing, and transition activities.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, design artefacts, configuration documentation, and acceptance deliverables.
• Provide regular service reports and track progress against plans and milestones.

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.


• Minimum 5 years of experience in the design, implementation, integration, and deployment of enterprise IT infrastructure and Core Services solutions.


• Experience delivering infrastructure and CIS projects, including planning, design, deployment, migration, testing, and transition activities.


• Experience working within structured project delivery frameworks and governance processes.


• Proven experience in several of the following areas:


• Core Services.


• Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS).


• Group Policy management and enterprise identity services.


• DNS, DHCP, Certificate Services (PKI), and Federation Services.


• Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and hybrid identity solutions.

Duties & Role

• Plan, design, implement, integrate, validate, and deploy Core Services solutions across CIS environments.


• Develop technical designs aligned with project objectives, technical requirements, implementation schedules, and stakeholder expectations.


• Install, configure, integrate, test, and support Core Services components and associated infrastructure.


• Deliver infrastructure and CIS projects covering planning, design, deployment, migration, testing, and transition activities.


• Support system integration, testing, acceptance, deployment, and migration activities.


• Ensure delivered solutions are fit for purpose, interoperable, secure, and capable of supporting current and future operational requirements.


• Work closely with project teams, architects, security stakeholders, and operational authorities.


• Identify technical risks, issues, dependencies, and potential impacts, and support the development and implementation of mitigation actions.


• Contribute to technical coordination, quality assurance, and project governance activities.


• Produce and maintain technical documentation, design artefacts, configuration documentation, and acceptance deliverables.


• Provide regular service reports covering assigned CIS and DCIS project activities.

• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and Core Services issues and provide appropriate technical solutions.
