Job summary

Priva, based in De Lier, Netherlands, seeks a CAD Engineer with about 2 years of hands-on CAD experience to design high‑tech water and sensor systems for the global horticultural industry. You will translate concepts into precise 3D models and drawings, collaborating with R&D, engineering and production to support ECO/ECN changes and DFM considerations.

Ideal candidates hold an MBO+/HBO degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design. Dutch and English communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

2 years of proven experience with 3D CAD software; Autodesk Inventor a strong advantage.
Experience creating 3D models and 2D drawings for production.
Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems and design documentation practices.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain 3D models and 2D production drawings using CAD software (Autodesk Inventor or equivalent).
Develop component and assembly drawings meeting manufacturing and quality standards.
Collaborate with R&D, mechanical engineering, and supply chain during new product development.
Support design changes throughout the product lifecycle (ECO/ECN).
Maintain and organize product data in the PDM/PLM environment.
Contribute to design reviews and ensure compliance with standards and norms.
Work with suppliers and internal production on design-for-manufacturability (DFM) considerations.
