Job description

The Netherlands Chamber Orchestra is looking to fill a permanent position for a 2nd violin tutti

Under the direction of Gordan Nikolić, the orchestra combines classical traditions with innovative performances. They aim to make classical music accessible through various educational projects and performances in unconventional venues. The orchestra is based in the historic NedPhO-Koepel in Amsterdam East.

The selected candidate will be expected to perform at both national and international levels, showcasing a broad repertoire. The role includes participation in chamber music and educational projects, requiring a professional work ethic and strong teamwork skills. The position is part-time, with a 50% contract size, and the salary will align with the collective bargaining agreement for Dutch orchestras.

Auditions are open to EU citizens and select other nationalities with valid work permits for the Netherlands. The audition is scheduled for November 26, 2026, with applications accepted until October 24, 2026.
