Role and Responsibilities

The position involves end-to-end support for Warehouse Management System (WMS) implementation and optimization. Responsibilities include gathering and documenting business requirements, configuring the system (including inventory, order fulfillment, barcode scanning, and reporting), and performing system and EDI testing. The role also includes training warehouse staff, providing post-implementation support, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams for system integrations. A basic understanding of SQL, databases, and EDI mapping is needed. Continuous improvement and alignment of the WMS with evolving business needs are also key aspects of the role.

Full time position available. Working hours: Regular hours, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications
  • At least 2 years working experience is required in this position.
Requirements and Experience
  • Warehouse Process Knowledge: Experience in warehouse operations (inventory control, order fulfilment, shipping/receiving) is key. Understanding the flow of materials and goods through the warehouse is important.
  • WMS Software Knowledge: Basic experience in WMS systems (Manhattan scale or other products) is valuable.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions within the WMS, resolving gaps or inefficiencies in the system’s functionality.
  • Communication Skills: Mandatory communication with multiple parties including technical teams (developers, system integrators) and end-users (warehouse staff, managers).
  • Project Management Basics: Familiarity with project management methodologies can be helpful for tracking WMS implementation progress.
Systems and Development (Additional Responsibilities)
  • Create innovative, scalable, fault-tolerant in-house software solutions for internal and external customers;
  • Work closely with project managers and other analysts/developers;
  • Write and test code to ensure compatibility and stability: refine and rewrite as necessary;
  • Create clear technical specifications;
  • Expand existing software to meet the changing needs of our key demographics
Qualifications & Experience
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering or Information Technology;
  • 2+ years’ software development or programming experience;
  • Understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and data structures;
  • Experience in Microsoft .NET technologies and Visual Studio 2017;
  • Experience in C# / VB; knowledge of JAVA, PHP, Python is an added advantage;
  • Experience in Microsoft SQL RDBMS and SSRS; MySQL is an added advantage;
  • Experience in mobile app development and REST API is an added advantage

Customer and Market Engagement

Identification of potential customers through market research and networking, engagement with customers to introduce our logistics services, preparation of proposals, and follow up on business secured with operations to ensure smooth implementation and reporting. Identify potential customers and logistics/supply chain opportunities. Servicing and expanding business for existing customers. Engage with customers to market our logistics services and develop supply chain solutions through direct negotiation or tender response. Liaison with customers and our operations to ensure successful implementation of logistics services. Communicate effectively with customers and team members involved in logistics services implementation.

Additional Qualifications

Qualification: At least 2 years working experience is required in this position.

  • Preferably from Logistics industries (past or present), with knowledge in Contract Logistics, Air Freight & Sea freight.
  • Good customer service skills with strong operations knowledge would be an advantage.
  • Aggressive and results oriented.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia; knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
