Job summary

AQ is seeking a skilled Wireman PW4 for our solar PV installation team. You’ll perform wiring, testing, maintenance and troubleshooting of PV systems, starting with HQ-based training in Shah Alam before leading projects at our Johor branch.

PW4 certification is mandatory; SEDA PV certification is an advantage. 1–3 years’ hands-on electrical installation experience in PV is preferred. Proficiency with AC/DC cabling, inverter installation, and reading schematics is required.

Qualifications

• Certified Wireman PW4 competency certificate issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST).
• SEDA certification in solar PV (if applicable) is an added advantage.
• Minimum 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in electrical installations, preferably in the solar PV industry.
• Experience with solar PV systems, AC/DC cabling, and inverter installation is preferred.
• Proficient in reading electrical schematics and single‑line diagrams; strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving in electrical systems.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and safety-consciousWireman PW4to join our solar PV installation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing and supporting the electrical installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role is essential in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of solar power systems, in full compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. Staff will be starting with HQ-based training in Shah Alam to master core operations before leading initiatives at our Johor branch.

Duties & responsibilities.

• Perform electrical wiring, installation, and interconnection of AC/DC cabling for solar panels, inverters, and associated solar PV system components.
• Conduct electrical testing and commissioning to verify system functionality after installation.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and basic mechanical issues within installed solar PV systems.
• Safely and effectively operate hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
• Ensure all electrical works, including solar PV installations, comply with safety protocols, codes of practice, and industry standards.
• Monitor the quality and integrity of electrical installations on site, ensuring strict adherence to SEDA, ST, and other regulatory requirements.
• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on solar PV systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping of the installation site upon completion of tasks.

How you’ll be successful.

• Willingness to travel to various job locations as required.
