Job summary

Elsa Talent Solutions Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Well Services SSHE Advisor to provide Safety, Security, Health & Environment support and assurance for well services and well intervention activities in Malaysia.

The role requires extensive experience in oil and gas, offshore operations, contractor SSHE management, and participation in HIRA, JSA/JHA, PTW audits, and incident investigations to maintain compliance and protect personnel and the environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or Diploma in science or engineering.
• Relevant SSHE certifications are advantageous.
• Knowledge of Malaysian safety, environmental and oil & gas regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide SSHE support and assurance for well services and well intervention activities.
• Contribute to HIRA, JSA/JHA, PTW audits, inspections, and SSHE assurance activities.
• Assist in incident reporting, investigation and corrective action management.
• Collaborate with contractors on SSHE management and field assurance.

Job description

Job Purpose:

The Well Services SSHE Advisor is responsible for providing SSHE (Safety, Security, Health & Environment) support and assurance for well services and well intervention activities.

Qualification:

• Possess minimum a Bachelor degree or Diploma in science or engineering.
• Relevant PTW, incident investigation, risk assessment or other SSHE competency certifications are advantageous.
• Knowledge of applicable Malaysian occupational safety, environmental and oil & gas regulations.

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years work experience in oil and gas industry including experience working within a Production Sharing Contract (PSC) environment.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience supporting well intervention, workover, well servicing, completion, well testing, and/or Plug and Abandonment (P&A) operations.
• Experience supporting both rig-based and rigless well intervention activities, where applicable.
• Proven experience in providing SSHE/HSE support in offshore oil and gas operations.
• Experience working with drilling, completion, well intervention or well services contractors and service companies.
• Good understanding of well services operational risks, critical activities and barrier management.
• Experience in conducting or participating in HIRA, JSA/JHA, PTW audits, inspections and SSHE assurance activities.
• Experience in incident reporting, investigation and corrective action management.
• Experience in contractor SSHE management and field assurance is highly desirable.
