Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year direct working experience as a welder, preferably MIG.

  • Examine and measure work pieces to ensure conformance with specifications.
  • Coordinate with Production for efficient installations.

Job description

Designation Welding Technician (MIG)

Department: Production
Reporting Manager: Factory Manager
Location: Balakong, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
Salary: Starting RM2,500

Role Responsibilities

  • Perform welding works according to approved drawings and quality specifications
  • Responsible to examine and measure work pieces to ensure conformance with specification
  • Identify potential welding problem and work out the solution · Able to read and interpret technical drawing and other written instructions and diagrams to perform welding works and requirements to produce work piece
  • Work with Supervisor to ensure welding works are carried out in a controlled manner
  • Perform MIG, TIG and other types of weld accordingly
  • Coordinate with Production for efficient installations
  • De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture
  • Improve and sustain housekeeping
  • Support in training as and when required
  • Any other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time


Role Requirement

  • Minimum 1 year direct working experience as a welder (preferably MIG welding) – equipment and procedures
  • Able to read and understand work order, technical drawing and welding symbols
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures
  • Physically fit to perform all duties relating to welding · Team player, able to work with all levels


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Demonstrate ability to work on assigned welding works and its processes/activities, ensuring minimum errors and quality work in accordance to production deadlines
  • Maintain safe workplace practices, adhering to the Company’s Health & Safety procedures at all times
