Job summary

TTLIM Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled Welding Technician to join our team in Simpang Ampat, Penang. This full-time role involves installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of metal equipment, especially material handling equipment.

You will assemble and install material handling systems, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues and keep detailed service records. A strong welding background, drawing interpretation, and safety mindset are essential for success.

Qualifications

Formal welding qualification or certification is preferred.
SPM with credit in English and Maths required.
Strong knowledge of welding techniques and ability to read technical drawings.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Commitment to workplace safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Assemble and install material handling equipment involving welding.
Carry out preventive maintenance and repairs on material handling equipment (e.g., cranes, hoists, dock levellers).
Perform routine maintenance to minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot and repair metal works to keep equipment running.
Maintain detailed records of all work performed.
Collaborate with engineering team for smooth operation of equipment.
Adhere to health and safety regulations and best practices.
