Our client "MTD Industries Sdn Bhd" is seeking a Welding Manager to join their team!

Lead a comprehensive welding department and drive manufacturing excellence in this senior management role! This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced welding professional to take charge of all welding operations while managing a diverse team and ensuring quality standards. You'll be responsible for strategic planning, process improvement, and customer satisfaction while developing your leadership skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment with significant authority and responsibility.

What you'll be doing?

Department Leadership: Serve as Head of Department for the welding division, providing strategic direction and operational oversight to ensure departmental excellence and alignment with company objectives.

Process Development: Create, develop, and update welding department procedures and documentation according to company ISO requirements, ensuring compliance and operational consistency.

Team Management: Ensure employees perform daily tasks according to position requirements while conducting yearly appraisals, confirmations, and promotions.

Project Coordination: Coordinate and monitor work progress to meet specific schedules and customer requirements, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

Technical Innovation: Study welding processes for new products and create Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) suitable for production usage.

Quality Assurance: Participate in welder qualification testing and monitor product quality to consistently meet customer requirements.

Resource Planning: Plan manpower requirements, monitor departmental utilization, and submit monthly revenue reports while developing cost-effective processes.

Safety Compliance: Maintain safe working environments by ensuring compliance with company safety systems and monitoring 5S implementation.

Customer Relations: Assist with customer audits, attend meetings, and deploy resources to support issues at customer sites as required.

Strategic Collaboration: Work with related departments on new product discussions and technology implementation while supporting management initiatives.

Training & Development: Conduct training for new employees and provide knowledge upgrades while supporting employee welfare and benefits.

Who are they looking for?

Educational Background: A Diploma, Executive Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, demonstrating technical competency in welding and manufacturing.

Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years of working experience in the welding and manufacturing industry, showcasing expertise in welding operations and management.

Language Skills: Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia for effective communication with diverse teams, customers, and stakeholders across various operational requirements.

Leadership Capacity: Ability to exercise significant authority, including making critical decisions to ensure safety and quality standards in production processes.
