Job summary

Pursuing a Welder Operator (GMAW) for a 6-month contract in the motor vehicle parts industry. The role is fully onsite at Kawasan Perindustrian Proton, Tanjong Malim, Perak. Salary ranges RM1,700–RM2,500 monthly, with attendance and meal subsidies and allowances.

You will weld, assemble and operate machines to meet quality targets, maintain equipment, and support continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring safe operations and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• SKM Level 2 or 3 in Welding or equivalent is required.
• Experience with welding in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• Basic reading of work instructions and safety rules are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding, metal assembly, machine operation and production tasks as instructed.
• Manufacture automotive seat metal frame components safely and efficiently.
• Operate welding and production machinery following safety requirements.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks.
• Help achieve production targets in quality, quantity, safety and on-time delivery.

Position: Welder Operator
Industry: Motor Vehicle Parts Manufacturing
Location: Kawasan Perindustrian Proton, 35900 Tanjong Malim, Perak
Employment Type: 6-Month Contract (Under PERSOL)
Working Arrangement: Fully Onsite
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:40 AM - 5:30 PM
Salary: RM1,700 - RM2,500 per month (based on experience & qualifications)

Attendance Allowance up to RM150/month

Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) RM100/month

Shift Allowance RM10/day (where applicable

Overtime Pay

Daily Meal Subsidy RM4/day

What You'll Be Doing

Perform welding, metal assembly, machine operation, and production activities according to work instructions and quality standards.

Manufacture automotive seat metal frame components safely and efficiently.

Operate welding equipment and production machinery in accordance with safety requirements.

Conduct basic equipment inspections and daily maintenance checks.

Ensure production targets are achieved in terms of quality, quantity, safety, and delivery schedules.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.

What We're Looking For

SKM Level 2 or Level 3 in Welding or related field

At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment

Experience in GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) will be an added advantage

Basic manufacturing knowledge and ability to read work instructions
