About the role

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Web Developer Intern to join our team on a contract basis in Kuala Lumpur. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring developers to gain practical experience in web development whilst working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative and innovative environment. The intern will support the development and production of web applications, learning industry best practices and contributing to real-world projects that impact our clients' success.

Key responsibilities

Assist in the design, development and maintenance of web applications and websites
Write clean, efficient and well-documented code following industry standards and best practices
Support the testing and debugging of web applications to identify and resolve issues
Collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliverables
Participate in code reviews and implement feedback to improve code quality
Help with the deployment and publishing of web solutions to production environments
Stay updated with emerging web technologies and development trends
Contribute to the documentation and knowledge-sharing within the development team

What we're looking for

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field
Familiarity with one or more web development frameworks or libraries (such as React, Vue.js or Angular)
Basic knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
Attention to detail and commitment to writing high-quality code
Preferred experience: knowledge of back-end development, databases, or exposure to web development tools and environments
