Job summary

XP Power Malaysia is seeking an experienced Wave Soldering Process Engineer to design and optimize soldering processes for new and existing products. You will develop control plans, perform qualifications, and lead improvement initiatives across production and engineering teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in electrical/electronic/mechatronics or a related field, with hands-on SMT and wave soldering experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronics/mechatronics or related field.
Diploma holders with strong hands‑on SMT equipment experience may be considered.
Experience with wave soldering processes, PCB manufacturing, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

Design and optimize wave soldering processes for new and existing products.
Develop and maintain process control plans for defect-free soldering.
Conduct process qualification and validation studies.
Perform preventive maintenance on wave soldering equipment.
Troubleshoot soldering issues and manage spare parts.
Inspect PCBs for solder quality and cleanliness.
Work with production and engineering to ensure smooth operations.
Provide technical support and training to soldering technicians.
Participate in NPI activities to ensure manufacturability and zero-defect soldering.
