Job summary

PGEO Group in Pasir Gudang, Johor, is seeking a Plant Technician for the Wastewater Treatment Plant to support daily operation and maintenance. You will monitor performance, collect samples, log data, and ensure compliance with discharge regulations while following safety and company policies.

The role requires a Diploma in environmental/chemical/mechanical/water & wastewater technology, with experience in wastewater treatment or utilities, and the ability to work shifts.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in an engineering discipline related to water/wastewater
• Experience in wastewater treatment or utilities is preferred
• Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and environmental regulations
• Ability to interpret equipment readings and perform basic troubleshooting
• Proficient with MS Office and data recording

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the WWTP according to SOPs
• Conduct routine inspections of pumps, motors, blowers, filters, and dosing systems
• Monitor operating parameters and record daily data
• Carry out water sampling and assist basic laboratory testing
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor troubleshooting of plant equipment
• Report equipment abnormalities and coordinate with maintenance for repairs
• Ensure treated wastewater complies with DOE discharge requirements
• Maintain documentation, logbooks, and operational records
• Follow safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures
• Maintain good housekeeping within WWTP and utility areas
