About the role

As a Shift Manager, Warehouse, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the efficient and seamless operation of the warehouse facilities at PKT LOGISTICS (M) SDN. BHD. in Sepang, Selangor. This full-time position is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods, managing a team of warehouse personnel, and driving continuous improvement within the logistics operations.

What you'll be doing

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the warehouse team, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods
• Manage and monitor the warehouse inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely replenishment
• Implement and oversee safety protocols, procedures, and training to maintain a safe working environment
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
• Prepare and analyse performance reports, highlighting key metrics and making recommendations for continuous improvement
• Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to the warehouse personnel
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and company policies
• Responsible for implementing and driving lean management principles to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and improve productivity. Focus on optimising processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring all team members understand and apply lean methodologies.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar shift manager or warehouse supervisory role, preferably within the manufacturing, transport, or logistics industries
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics best practices
• Proficient in using warehouse management systems and data analysis tools
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality
• A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement
