Job description

Beacon Mart is seeking a hands-on and experienced Warehouse Manager to lead daily operations at our central warehouse. The role is critical to ensuring efficient storage, inventory accuracy, and timely fulfillment of goods across our supply chain, supporting domestic sales and 40+ retail outlets across Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse operations, food safety compliance, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

️ Warehouse Operations

Oversee daily inbound and outbound activities (receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching).

Implement and enforce warehouse SOPs (FIFO), layout optimization, and 5S standards.

Maintain cold chain integrity for perishable and temperature-sensitive products.

Inventory Control

Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and minimize variances.

Ensure accurate stock movement updates in WMS/ERP systems.

Work with purchasing, kitchen, and retail teams to manage stock replenishment and stock-out risks.

Collaborate with procurement, QA, and kitchen teams.

Ensure accurate order pick, pack, and dispatch processes.

Use data to manage fill rates and timely delivery performance.

Coordinate with logistics team for timely delivery of goods to outlets.

Manage dispatch schedules and ensure picking accuracy for outlet orders.

Lead, train, and evaluate warehouse assistants, supervisors, and forklift operators.

Ensure proper delegation of tasks and shift planning for smooth operations.

Compliance & Safety

Enforce safety protocols, hygiene standards, and HALAL/food safety compliance.

Ensure warehouse cleanliness and safe material handling practices.

Prepare for internal audits and certification renewals (e.g. HACCP, HALAL).

Generate warehouse performance reports (stock accuracy, delivery efficiency, wastage).

Identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.

Participate in cross-functional improvement initiatives with supply chain and operations teams.

Participate in infrastructure building such as WMS, ERP and or any relevant system that may contribute to further process improvement

Ad-hoc projects as assigned by management within candidate capability

Requirements:

Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.

5–8 years warehouse management experience; F&B or FMCG preferred.

Strong knowledge of WMS or ERP systems and MS Excel.

Familiar with cold chain, perishable goods, and warehouse automation tools.

Ability to lead and motivate a team under fast-paced operations.

Knowledge of HALAL, HACCP, or ISO standards is an added advantage.

Preferred Qualities:

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Good problem-solving and communication ability.

Physically fit to supervise operations on-site.

Comfortable working in a dynamic, scale-up environment.
