A leading company in Malaysia is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee inventory and logistics operations. This role requires at least 5 years of experience in materials management and a strong understanding of warehouse procedures and compliance. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient operations and managing personnel while adhering to quality and safety standards.
About the Team
Overseeing the Inventory Management Process, developing and maintaining transportation systems for export and import, ensuring the company complies with laws and regulations by government and local authorities, maintaining receiving, warehousing, and distribution of goods in smooth operation, ensuring stock accuracy, and safeguarding warehouse security procedures.
What you can look forward to as Warehouse Manager:
Warehouse (70%) Responsible for overseeing the inventory management process, defining strategies for appropriate inventory levels, eliminating obsolete and off-spec materials, and reducing aging materials.
Authorize and maintain warehousing, receiving, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program operational and personnel policies and procedures.
Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
Logistics (25%) Develop and maintain logistics operations for export and import to meet business needs, negotiate shipping forwarder costs.
Ensure company compliance with laws and regulations by government and local authorities regarding warehousing, receiving, distribution, export, and import activities.
Quality System (5%) Ensure that the Quality and HSE Management Systems adhere to and are implemented in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards at all times.
Your Profile as Warehouse Manager:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in materials management and warehouse operations management (WMS).
Experience supporting production in a high mix, low volume working environment.
Knowledge of raw materials, inventory management, shipping costs, and customs requirements.
Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and working under tight deadlines.
Experience in managing personnel resources—motivating, developing, and directing staff, and identifying the best people for the job.
