A leading manufacturing company in Selangor is seeking a Warehouse and Logistics Manager to oversee all logistics operations including inventory control and compliance. The role demands a strong background in logistics, with emphasis on process improvement and effective communication across departments. Proficient language skills in English and Mandarin are preferred to engage with customers and stakeholders.
Liable for the overall warehouse and logistics operations, including receiving, warehousing/inventory control, pick-pack-ship, and distribution of raw materials, components, supplies, and finished goods inventory.
Manages daily site logistics operations, processes, workflows, and escalations through proactive interaction with key stakeholders such as production, planning, order fulfillment, materials management, and other supply chain teams.
Maintains inventory accuracy with appropriate materials transactions and effective communication schedules to release data or all other logistics/materials requirement information to buyers, planners, manufacturing, and relevant teams.
Upholds high standards of warehouse housekeeping and sanitation, supporting a lean work environment by promoting and delivering continuous improvement processes and programs.
Administers and is accountable for government import & export customs policies, tools, statistical reporting, and compliance with governmental classification & regulatory licensing requirements.
Collaborates and coordinates with inter-departmental teams to meet or exceed all KPIs, goals, and objectives.
Acts as the site focal point on escalations involving transportation, warehousing, brokerage operations, packaging, and crating issue resolution.
Ensures effective communication with all levels of leadership internally and externally (customers & vendors).
Responsible for timely inventory updates, proper implementation of FIFO, cycle counting, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
Monitors and reviews stock holding levels to ensure turnaround time is adequate for stock availability.
Accountable for meeting operational performance KPIs in inbound and outbound logistics, such as on-time receipt, issuance, inventories, shipping accuracy, inventory holding, and turnover, as well as timely stock replenishment.
Analyzes and reviews monthly stock reports, including stock turnover, write-offs, returns, adjustments, and variances, and prepares ad-hoc reports as required by management.
Oversees and monitors inbound and outbound shipments.
Requirements
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in any field.
At least 3 years of working experience in a related field.
Required languages: English, Bahasa Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients.
Preferably a Manager specialized in Logistics & Warehouse Management or equivalent.
