Job Description
1. Receiving and Inspection:
- Receive deliveries of food items, ingredients, equipment, and supplies from various vendors and suppliers.
- Inspect incoming shipments to ensure they match the purchase orders and are in good condition.
- Verify the quantity and quality of items received, checking for any discrepancies, damages, or expired items.
- Document and report any issues or discrepancies to the appropriate department or management.
2. Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming shipments, including item descriptions, quantities, and delivery dates.
- Organize and label items for easy identification and retrieval.
- Rotate stock to ensure that the oldest items are used first (First In, First Out - FIFO).
- Assist in conducting regular physical inventory counts and reconciling them with records.
3. Storage and Organization:
- Properly store received items in designated storage areas, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the receiving area and storage spaces.
- Ensure that perishable items are stored at the appropriate temperatures and conditions.
4. Communication:
- Collaborate with the purchasing department to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to deliveries and invoices.
- Communicate with kitchen staff and other relevant departments to ensure they are aware of the availability of newly received items.
- Assist in coordinating returns or exchanges with suppliers when necessary.
5. Compliance:
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines when handling and storing food items.
- Follow safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling deliveries.
- Keep up to date with health and safety regulations and ensure compliance within the receiving area.
6. Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of receiving activities, including receipts, invoices, and other relevant paperwork.
- Assist with data entry and record-keeping tasks using computer software or databases.
7. Teamwork:
- Collaborate with other members of the outlet staff to ensure smooth operations and support teamwork within the establishment.
- Available to perform duty in cool room.
- To perform any other task assigned by superior/management.
Job Requirement
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items and operate receiving equipment.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
- Ability to communicate confidently internally and externally.
- Competent on MS Office, particularly Excel (Vlook Ups, Pivot Tables).
- Good team player, positive attitude, work well with all levels of people.
- Candidate must be fluent in Mandarin & English.
