About the role

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Warehouse Assistant Manager to join the dynamic team at Pantech Steel Industries Sdn Bhd, based in Meru Selangor. As a full-time role, you will play a pivotal part in overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations and ensuring the smooth running of our distribution center.

What you'll be doing

1. Supervising and coordinating the activities of the warehouse team, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance and support
2. Implementing and maintaining efficient inventory management systems to optimize storage and retrieval processes
3. Overseeing the receiving, storage, and distribution of goods, ensuring strict adherence to quality standards and safety protocols
4. Analyzing data and generating reports to identify areas for improvement and drive operational efficiencies
5. Collaborating with other departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment
6. Developing and enforcing warehouse policies, procedures, and best practices
7. Actively participating in the continuous improvement of warehouse operations

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse management role, preferably within the manufacturing sector
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
• Proficient in the use of warehouse management systems and inventory control software
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the warehousing environment
• A proactive and collaborative mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement
• Experience in handling export shipments is preferred.
