About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to join our team at SR GEMILANG TRANSPORT (M) SDN BHD in Ipoh, Perak. As a Warehouse Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of goods within our warehouse operations. This is a full-time position that involves a range of warehouse duties to support our logistics and distribution functions.

What you'll be doing

1. Receiving, storing, and dispatching goods and materials in a timely and organised manner
2. Maintaining accurate inventory records and stock levels
3. Picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment
4. Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently
5. Assisting in the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles
6. Performing regular checks and maintenance of the warehouse facility and equipment
7. Collaborating with the logistics team to ensure the smooth flow of goods and materials
8. Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, preferably in manufacturing, transport, or distribution sectors
2. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
3. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
4. Good communication and interpersonal skills
5. Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
6. Familiarity with inventory management systems and warehouse operations
7. A positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to new situations
