Job summary

2201 United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd is seeking a senior leader to manage a team of Client Advisors serving high net worth clients in Malaysia. You will ensure portfolios are managed to standard and KRAs while driving profitability and quality across the group.

The role requires IPPC and FIMM certifications, strong leadership and excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders. Fluency in English is essential in a regulated banking environment.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in relationship management.
• IPPC and FIMM certification.
• Experience with high net worth individuals and families is an asset.
• Excellent leadership skills and ability to motivate staff.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in English language.
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Sound understanding of the banking environment, products and services offered.
• Ability to build long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Client Advisors to provide excellent service to high net worth clients.
• Ensure team portfolios are managed according to established standards and KRAs.
• Oversee the group's profitability, quality and effectiveness.
• Maintain strong ties with internal stakeholders (credit risk control, operations, marketing, contact centers).
• Support the execution of the Wealth Management plan.
• Act as the face of UOB at industry events related to wealth management.
• Adhere to all applicable banking rules, regulations and directives.

Job Description

• Managing a team of Client Advisors to provide excellent service to high net worth clients
• Ensuring that all members of the team can effectively manage their portfolios according to established standards a& KRAs
• Overseeing the performance of the group in terms of profitability, quality and effectiveness
• Keeping strong ties with internal stakeholders, including credit risk control, operational teams, marketing, and customer contact centers
• Supporting the execution of the organization's Wealth Management plan
• Acting as the face of UOB at industry gatherings and conferences related to wealth management
• Adhering to all applicable rules, legislation, and directives given out by government agencies overseeing the financial sector

Job Requirement

• At least 10 years of experience in relationship management, preferably in the corporate banking sector
• Have IPPC and FIMM certification
• Experience in dealing with high net worth individuals and families would be considered an asset
• Excellent leadership skills, ability to motivate staff and drive performance
