Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Financial Controller to lead the company's financial strategy, governance, and accounting operations. You will drive budgeting, reporting and risk management for licensed money lending activities.

Responsibilities include overseeing treasury, regulatory compliance with MFRS/IFRS, and leading external audits. A strong background in regulated financial services and digital finance Transformation is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking or related field.
• CA/CPA or equivalent professional qualification required.
• 10+ years progressive finance experience including 5+ years in senior leadership.
• Experience in banking, licensed money lending, or regulated financial services preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MFRS/IFRS and tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy, governance, budgeting and risk management.
• Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting and audits.
• Ensure compliance with Money Lending Act 1951 and AML/CFT.
• Manage treasury, liquidity, and regulatory reporting for lending.
• Drive digital transformation and ERP/LMS integration.
