Job Responsibilities

This role involves managing and overseeing KYC and CDD requirements during customer onboarding and periodic reviews, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and addressing AML/CFT & Sanctions concerns. The customer segments primarily include non-individuals within Group Wholesale Banking.

The main responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting the Team Manager in executing the AML CDD strategic program for wholesale banking customers.
  2. Reviewing and enhancing work processes with stakeholders to improve efficiency while ensuring compliance with Group AML/CFT policies.
  3. Updating SOPs and workflows for operational effectiveness.
  4. Conducting AML-related training for the team.
  5. Escalating potential risks and sharing risk management best practices.
  6. Ensuring SLAs are met.
  7. Reviewing and signing off on complex customer due diligence profiles across jurisdictions.
  8. Managing audit queries and supporting audit reviews.
  9. Supporting KYC teams in fulfilling CDD requirements throughout the customer lifecycle.
  10. Monitoring procedures to achieve operational risk metrics.
  11. Steering risk and control alignment across teams and with Group AFC Operations.
  12. Supporting reporting requirements such as FACTCA and CRS.
Job Requirements

The key requirements include:

  1. At least 8 years of experience in risk and regulatory matters related to KYC and financial crimes.
  2. Proven leadership and team management skills.
  3. Effective management of people and relationships, providing oversight and guidance.
  4. Strong track record in risk management, ensuring customer due diligence is thorough and meaningful.
  5. Experience in analyzing AML-related transactions and activities.
  6. Ability to advise senior stakeholders confidently on due diligence matters.
  7. Alignment with the Bank’s anti-financial crime commitments, demonstrating integrity and prudent judgment.
  8. Relevant AML certification (e.g., CAMS or AML diploma) is advantageous.
