We are inviting candidates for the position of:
Visual Merchandise (VMD) & Branding Project Manager
We are seeking a Visual Merchandising & Branding Project Manager to join our Cheil Singapore team. This role leads end-to-end planning with clients, cross-team coordination, and execution of visual merchandising and mall branding initiatives across retail stores and malls. You will ensure all visual concepts, campaigns, and product displays are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with brand identity, bridging creative vision with operational excellence for a consistent, high-quality retail experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Management & Execution
- Lead planning, budgeting, and execution of all VM and mall branding projects (new stores, campaigns, product launches, renovations).
- Handle vendor briefing, administration, and follow-up, ensuring high-quality output and timely delivery.
- Oversee POSM printing, fabrication, in-store murals, and fixtures production, maintaining alignment with HQ visuals and local creatives
- Plan and manage in-mall advertisements including venue bookings, license agreements, and production logistics.
2. Planning & Budgeting Management
- Plan and manage VM budgets, negotiation with vendors to maximize cost efficiency
- Work with VM designer, marketing team, and client to align strategies with brand and sales objectives.
- Ensure projects are delivered within scope and budget, with post-project evaluations for continuous improvement
3. Stakeholder Coordination & Reporting
- Act as a key liaison between design teams, marketing, retail operations, procurement, vendors, and store teams
- Translate creative concepts into actionable plans and ensure feasibility across different retail formats
- Provide VM briefing documents and execution guidelines to relevant stakeholders
- Prepare budget tracking, execution report and performance audit
4. Vendor & Store Support
- Source and manage fabricators, printers, and installers, reviewing prototypes and samples for quality assurance.
- Conduct store visits and audits to monitor VM execution and compliance.
- Support store teams with VM training, troubleshooting, and execution guidance when needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Merchandising, Project Management, Industrial Design, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
- 5+ years of experience in visual merchandising, including at least 2–3 years in a project management role within electronics or consumer tech retail
- Proven track record in managing complex VM projects and leading cross-functional teams
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and manage tight deadlines
- Solid understanding of retail space planning, fixture design, and consumer electronics product presentation
- Proficient in MS Project, Excel, or project management tools; working knowledge of design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp) is an advantage
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong attention to detail and hands-on execution mindset
- Willing to travel and to be on-site during major installations and rollouts
