A leading company in fashion retail is seeking a Visual Merchandiser to implement effective merchandising strategies that reflect brand identity. The role includes managing store displays, collaborating with teams, training staff, and analyzing customer behavior. The Visual Merchandiser is responsible for implementing effective visual merchandising strategies that reflect the brand’s identity and enhance the overall customer shopping experience. This role involves managing store displays, collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting new store openings and in-store marketing initiatives, and delivering display training to frontline staff.
Candidates must possess experience in the fashion retail industry and be fluent in English, Malay, and Mandarin. A strong eye for design, attention to detail, and proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Canva are essential to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute visual merchandising plans and display concepts in line with brand guidelines to elevate brand image.
Provide training to operations staff to ensure proper implementation and maintenance of visual displays.
Conduct regular store visits to refresh displays, optimize store layout, and improve customer engagement and sales.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, marketing, merchandising, and sales teams.
Support the development and rollout of point-of-purchase (POP) graphic materials.
Assist with store openings, renovations, and visual merchandising setup for promotional events and campaigns.
Prepare display props and ensure visual materials are consistent across locations.
Gather and analyze customer shopping behavior and in-store traffic flow to enhance visual effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 to 3 years of visual merchandising experience in the fashion retail industry.
A Bachelor's Degree in Visual Merchandising, Fashion Design, Marketing, or related field is preferred.
Fluency in English, Malay, and Mandarin is required. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
Strong sense of fashion trends and visual presentation.
Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Canva.
Willingness to work on public holidays and/or weekends when required is added advantage.
