Mamaway, a leading brand in maternity and babywear, seeks a Creative and Proactive Visual Merchandiser to enhance in-store displays and customer experiences. This role involves strategic planning, collaboration with marketing, and extensive travel across Malaysia. Ideal candidates will have experience in visual merchandising, be familiar with basic graphic design tools, and possess strong spatial awareness.

We’re looking for a Creative and Proactive Visual Merchandiser who can bring the Mamaway brand to life through eye-catching in-store displays and visual storytelling. This hands-on role combines space planning, design, branding sense, and marketing collaboration. You’ll play a key part in shaping our retail experience and increasing store appeal to drive customer traffic.
Plan and execute creative, eye-catching in-store and window displays that draw customers in and reflect Mamaway’s brand identity.
Propose and implement display ideas or small-scale in-store campaigns to increase walk-ins and support seasonal promotions.
Collaborate with the Marketing and Sales teams to execute compelling promotional displays that support current campaigns and sales objectives.
Ensure new product launches and key marketing themes are visually represented in-store through impactful product placements and signage.
Optimize space utilization and product arrangement to enhance store flow, visibility, and the overall customer shopping experience.
Work closely with the Merchandise Planning team to ensure display plans align with available stock and product priorities.
Liaise with the Operations team to ensure all visual setups are functional, practical, and do not interfere with daily sales activity or store movement.
Coordinate with the Marketing team to integrate brand elements—such as color, messaging, and visuals—into the overall in-store experience.
Develop and update visual merchandising guidelines to ensure consistent brand presentation across all outlets.
Travel across Malaysia to support store setups, conduct visual refreshes, and ensure displays remain attractive and on-brand.
Strategically plan and sketch layout concepts—digitally or by hand—to visualize display plans before execution, especially in limited retail space.
Design simple visual materials like posters, signage, and point-of-sale graphics using Canva, Photoshop, or Illustrator.
Maintain neatness, cleanliness, and high visual standards for all display zones to ensure a welcoming store environment.
Assist with marketing tasks such as event setups, product photoshoots, and seasonal branding activities.
Minimum 1 year of experience in retail visual merchandising or creative display.
Familiar with basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator).
Able to sketch and visualize layout concepts manually or digitally.
Strong spatial awareness and strategic thinking—especially in limited space.
Physically fit, responsible, and willing to travel across Malaysia.
Fast learner, team player, and able to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
