Job summary

L’OCCITANE Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an Intern in Store Design & Visual Merchandising to support brand and retail teams in developing captivating store environments and product displays that reflect brand storytelling. The role combines creative design work, hands-on execution, and coordination to ensure a consistent and inspiring in-store experience for customers.

You will gain exposure to VM guidelines, campaign activations, and collaboration with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Communication, Interior Design, Retail Design, Marketing, or a related field.
• Passionate about beauty, retail design, and storytelling through visuals.
• Strong eye for color, texture, and layout aesthetics.
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Comfortable working both in the office and on-site in stores.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up and maintaining product and window displays in boutiques, counters, and pop-ups.
• Support the execution of seasonal campaigns, new launches, and promotional activations.
• Help ensure visual guidelines (VM Planograms) are consistently implemented across all stores.
• Assist in photo documentation, VM reports, and performance recaps after campaign installations.
• Assist in preparing and updating store layout drawings, fixture plans, and design presentations.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors on store setup, fixture fabrication, or visual prop development.
