Qualifications

• Strong portfolio or sample work in short drama clips or social media ads.
• Proficient in CapCut and Premiere Pro; familiarity with After Effects or Photoshop is a plus.
• Experienced in fast-paced editing, hook-driven storytelling, and platform-specific formats (TikTok/YouTube/Instagram).
• Experience with overseas short drama clips or social media ad creatives is a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Chinese language skills are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Deconstruct raw short drama footage to identify key dramatic hooks, plot twists, emotional climaxes, and conflict points; edit captivating drama clips and highlight reels.
• Collaborate with social media operators to deliver high-converting video assets for each platform.
• Craft high-retention 3-second hooks with striking visuals, pacing, subtitles, and trending BGM; end with cliffhangers to drive downloads.
• Iterate top-performing videos into multiple A/B testing variations by tweaking hooks, pacing, and audio tracks.
• Track viral editing trends and build a reusable HD footage library and editing templates.

About The Role

We are seeking a Short Drama Video Editor with a sharp sense of internet pacing and dramatic storytelling. You will directly empower our social media team across Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram by transforming raw drama episodes into captivating, high-converting video snippets. If you excel at fast-paced editing, hook retention, and pacing that triggers curiosity, you will play a pivotal role in scaling our short drama App's global audience.

Responsibilities

Deconstruct raw short drama footage to identify key dramatic hooks, plot twists, emotional climaxes, and conflict points; edit captivating drama clips and highlight reels.

Collaborate closely with social media operators (Facebook, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, etc.) to continuously deliver high-converting video assets tailored for each platform, streamlining their posting workflow.

Craft high-retention "3-second hooks" using striking visuals, dynamic pacing, engaging subtitles, and trending BGM; integrate strong cliffhangers at the end to drive users to download and watch more on the drama APP.

Rapidly iterate top-performing videos into multiple A/B testing variations by tweaking opening hooks, pacing, and audio tracks to maximize traffic and conversion ROI.

Track viral editing trends, trending audio, and pop-culture references; build and maintain a reusable high-definition footage library and editing templates.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Film & Television Production, Multimedia, Digital Media, or related fields preferred (Fresh graduates or candidates with a strong portfolio are highly welcome).

Proficient in CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, and other mainstream editing software; familiarity with After Effects or Photoshop is an added advantage.

Skilled at identifying what hooks Western viewers—such as intense sexual tension, forbidden romance, identity reveals, and high-stakes betrayal; proficient in fast-paced editing and dramatic pacing that amplifies suspense, curiosity, and binge-watching desire.

Prior experience in overseas short drama clips, social media ad creatives (TikTok/Meta), or movie/drama recaps is a strong plus.

Good proficiency in both English and Chinese; self-driven, efficient, and able to deliver consistently in a fast-paced environment.
