Job summary

InvestingNote is seeking a creative Video Content Creator/Producer to develop engaging money and finance content for our digital platforms. You will research topics, write scripts, present on camera, and oversee video production to grow our audience.

Ideal candidates will be comfortable speaking on camera, have strong storytelling skills, and be proficient in creating content across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube and more. A passion for personal finance is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media, Marketing, Finance, Business or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in content creation, video production, journalism, social media or digital media.
• Strong interest in personal finance, investing, stocks and financial markets.
• Confident and comfortable appearing in front of the camera.
• Strong communication, presentation and storytelling skills.

Video Content Creator / Producer
About the Role

We are looking for a creative, confident and finance-focused Video Content Creator / Producer to join us.

You will be responsible for creating engaging content around money, personal finance, investing, stocks, financial markets and financial literacy across our digital platforms and social media channels.

This is a hands-on, end-to-end content role. You will be involved in researching topics, developing ideas, writing scripts, presenting in front of the camera, producing videos and working with the team to grow our digital audience.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable being in front of the camera and can communicate financial topics in a natural, engaging and easy-to-understand way.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Ideation

• Research and develop content ideas around personal finance, investing, stocks, markets, money and financial trends.
• Turn financial topics and market developments into engaging and easy-to-understand content.
• Develop creative concepts, hooks, storylines and formats suitable for different social media platforms.
• Stay updated on financial news, market trends, social media trends and emerging content formats.

On-Camera Content & Presentation

• Appear on camera and present finance and investment-related content
• Host short-form videos, interviews, explainers, discussions and other digital content.
• Conduct interviews with investors, analysts, industry professionals, listed companies and other relevant personalities.
• Present complex financial topics in a clear, conversational and engaging manner.
• Develop a natural and credible on-camera personality that resonates with our audience.

Video Production

• Write scripts, talking points, interview questions and video outlines.
• Plan and coordinate video shoots, interviews and other content productions.
• Shoot content using smartphones, cameras and other production equipment.
• Edit short-form and long-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube, Facebook and other platforms.

Social Media & Audience Growth

• Create and adapt content for different social media platforms.
• Understand platform trends, formats, hooks and audience behaviours.
• Monitor content performance and identify opportunities to improve reach, engagement and audience growth.
• Experiment with different content formats, topics and storytelling approaches.

Finance & Editorial Content

• Create educational content that helps audiences better understand investing, personal finance and financial markets.
• Ensure financial information is researched and presented accurately and responsibly.
• Work with internal teams and subject matter experts to validate financial content where necessary.
• Maintain the editorial quality and credibility of ShareInvestor and InvestingNote.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media, Marketing, Finance, Business or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in content creation, video production, journalism, social media, digital media or a related field.
• Strong interest in personal finance, investing, stocks and financial markets.
• Confident and comfortable appearing in front of the camera.
• Strong communication, presentation and storytelling skills.
• Able to speak naturally and confidently when presenting or conducting interviews.
• Hands‑on experience in video shooting and editing.
• Familiarity with CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva or similar tools.
• Good understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other social media platforms.
• Able to simplify complex financial topics and communicate them to a general audience.
• Creative, proactive and willing to experiment with different content formats.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Good to Have

• Experience creating finance, investment, business or personal finance content.
• Experience as a presenter, host, interviewer, journalist or content creator.
• Knowledge of Bursa Malaysia and the Malaysian stock market.
• Basic photography, graphic design or motion graphics skills.
• Experience using AI tools for content research, scripting, editing or production.
• Existing portfolio of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or other digital content.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin would be an added advantage.
