Vice President, Treasury Corporate Forex Sales

Job Description:

Financial

  • Lead, assist, and manage FX Business and all FX-related matters to ensure smooth FX dealings.
  • Assist in managing cost efficiency within FX Corporate Sales.
  • Ensure yearly targets for profit and transaction volume are met.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Participate in yearly planning on target returns.
  2. Quote competitive pricing to valued clients.
  3. Monitor performance monthly.

Business and Strategy Execution

Quote FX pricing for the Bank’s wholesale clients, including:

  • Providing special rates to wholesale clients.
  • Offering competitive pricing against benchmarks.
  • Generating optimal profit for the Bank.

Focus on selected business sectors and maintain relevant reports and analysis to track business performance:

  • Daily, Monthly, and YTD reports.
  • Managing existing and potential client trackers.
  • Handling GLCs / GLiCs.

Additional tasks include:

  • Realigning counter rates to be competitive and cost-effective.
  • Using Nostro agents for maximum returns.
  • Guiding clients on hedging instruments.
  • Optimizing payment modes for better client needs.
  • Protecting TOP 50 and engaging TOP 100 clients.
  • Regional marketing efforts.
  • Tracking educational/training needs for the team.

Risk and Compliance

Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies, including:

  • Collecting necessary client information.
  • Reporting deals in ROMS per BNM requirements.
  • Adhering to BNM notices, internal procedures, and guidelines.
  • Suggesting procedural improvements when necessary.

Uphold integrity and professionalism in all dealings, ensuring transactions are Shariah compliant and in accordance with the BNM Code of Conduct.

Customers

Focus on marketing and maintaining wholesale clients through regular visits, addressing client needs, and promoting products and services, including regulatory updates.

People Management & Development

Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to ensure team performance and market knowledge, including:

  • Guiding Dealers in their tasks.
  • Conducting training sessions on FX and market updates.
  • Consulting with clients on their challenges.

Additionally, conduct training for internal and external clients on FX topics and maintain ongoing client consultations.

Must hold a valid PKMC Dealing License.

Maintain professionalism and integrity in all treasury activities.
