This role is instrumental in ensuring that the Bank remains compliant with regulatory expectations, while also supporting strategic process improvements and audit readiness. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including the Chief Operating Officer (COO), Group Risk, Compliance, and Business Units, to ensure that all operational processes are thoroughly documented, current, and aligned with best practices.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead periodic and ad-hoc reviews of SOPs across the Bank to ensure alignment with policies issued by BNM, Securities Commission Malaysia, Bursa Malaysia, and Group Compliance.
Oversee end-to-end SOP development for new products, services, and business portfolios, ensuring timely delivery and compliance.
Track and manage audit findings and corrective action plans (CAT), including the preparation of progress updates for Governance, Business Assurance Committee (GBAC) and Board Audit Committee (BAC).
Serve as the subject matter expert on SOP governance and documentation standards, providing advisory support to stakeholders.
Work closely with Risk, Compliance, and internal control functions to ensure risk-mitigating measures are appropriately embedded in operational procedures.
Act as a business partner in driving operational improvements and embedding a strong quality and compliance culture across AHIBB.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
Minimum 8 years of experience in internal audit, operational risk, compliance, or quality assurance within the financial services industry.
Solid knowledge of regulatory frameworks including BNM CRR, AML/CFT, SC guidelines, and Bursa Malaysia rules.
Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent analytical, documentation, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
Experience in supporting or presenting at governance forums (e.g. Audit Committees) is highly desirable.
