The Vice President of Sales, APAC will play a pivotal role in expanding market penetration, defining new solutions and services for ER’s portfolio, and leading the company's growth in the APAC region through innovative sales strategies and visionary leadership.
As a recognized leader in test and measurement solutions, ER serves multiple vertical markets including Aerospace and Defense, Telecommunications, Power and Industrial, Automotive, Medical, Education, Space, and Data Products. The company offers a wide range of products and services from established equipment sales and leasing to innovative Asset Management solutions.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assume full executive responsibility for all global sales, marketing, and strategic business development operations in APAC, including market targeting and company positioning.
- Lead the development of APAC strategic sales initiatives.
- Develop an insightful understanding of ER’s markets and translate this into effective operating plans.
- Provide inspirational leadership, proactively detect problems, and intervene decisively.
- Represent ER at key industry events to enhance its industry-leading role.
- Lead business development activities with manufacturers, service partners, and customers.
- Manage vertical market initiatives across ER’s diverse technology and industry verticals.
- Drive sales and program management to achieve growth targets, fostering a culture of proactive business pursuit.
- Research market and customer trends, develop forecasts, and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Monitor market activity and provide feedback to leadership.
- Develop and implement business strategies focused on key markets to meet revenue and KPI targets.
- Formulate business development and sales strategies tailored to target markets and customers.
- Manage relationships and coordinate activities across accounts to identify opportunities and expand demand.
- Establish strong relationships with all customer levels and manage expectations to ensure high satisfaction.
- Identify new revenue opportunities and understand client requirements.
- Develop long-term program plans to meet profitability objectives.
- Address problems through root cause analysis and develop recovery plans.
- Continuously evaluate and improve business cases and processes.
- Manage strategic plans and budgets effectively.
- Foster a collaborative, high-morale team culture.
- Travel approximately 50% domestically and internationally.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a technical field required; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in divisional or global sales.
- Senior sales experience in test and measurement applications across various industries; rental and financial solutions experience is desirable.
- Experience marketing third-party solutions in technical environments.
- Exceptional client-facing, presentation, and self-confidence skills.
- Proven ability to manage growth stages within technology-oriented, capital-intensive environments.
- Experience launching successful products or services.
- An MBA with a technical background is preferred.
