Vice President, Market Coverage-Islamic Business Banking

1. Alliance Islamic Bank (AIS) consumer financing strategy: Collaborate with CEO, Group Chief Consumer Banking Officer and SVP, Strategy on development of CB strategy to achieve AIS CB business goals (covering financing, and non-financing products) — defining:

2. Key segment planning: Development of growth plans for AIS' key/niche retail segments covering mortgage, personal financing, aitab and non-financing businesses. Regular updating of key segment plans to ensure relevance and effectiveness in supporting business goals/strategies.

3. Marketing execution: Drive marketing activities for AIS' consumer products and wealth management offerings in support of overall goals and CB strategies. Drive sales acquisition through development of campaigns. Prioritize and craft tactical responses to relevant ongoing market developments in order to preserve key clientele relationships and enhance further business development opportunities.

4. Relationship Management: Nurture positive and fruitful rapport with identified internal and external stakeholders via regular formal and informal engagements, dialogues and collaborations. Avail regular, round-the-clock communication channels for the stakeholders. Attend to all needs, requirements, and requests by the stakeholders. Ensure issues raised by client groups are resolved expeditiously, and feed back to the client accordingly. Responsible for delivering consistent growth in client value on a year-on-year basis.

5. Market intelligence: Be aware of market developments relevant to the CB business, through (i) own market research; (ii) industry reports and marketing literature; (iii) regular liaisons with an informal network of market contacts. Responsible also for conducting market research and analysis on market trend and competitors' consumer propositions.

6. Business performance management: Monitor and provide transparent feedback on CB business performance to CEO and Board. Ensure all reports due to management are submitted with accurate information and in a timely manner. Conduct post-campaign analysis for all marketing programs launched and document key learning points for improvement in subsequent program rollouts. Continue to improve existing processes with a view towards improving cost, efficiency and customer delight

7. Campaign management: Collaborate with campaign management team to design and rollout CB campaign for identified segments. Provide leads and feedback on campaign and marketing communication opportunities.

8. Subject Matter Expert Support: Provide helpline for internal and external customers. Conduct training and road shows to regularly refresh product knowledge at channels. Maintain good communication with sales teams and channels as well as back office system and operations.

9. Others: Any other duties as assigned by supervisors

  • Technical: (i) CB solutioning and proposition crafting. (ii) CB portfolio analysis.

Knowledge:

  • Strong grasp of theory and application of Islamic financing structures applied in the market
  • BNM rules and regulations on Islamic financing

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years in banking industry, 5 years in sales role, and 2 years in leadership role
