OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Berhad is seeking a Product Owner for Digital Wealth to drive the digital transformation of OCBC Wealth Management. You will define the roadmap, align with Wealth Management, Global Markets and Operations & Technology, and translate data and insights into impactful product features for front-office and client experiences.

  • Collaborate with Wealth Management, Branch, Consumer Lending, Data Office and Ops/Tech to enable initiatives.

The Product Owner for Digital Wealth strategically drives OCBC Wealth Management’s digital transformation by defining and executing the roadmap for the wealth platform. Collaborating with stakeholders across Wealth Management, Global Markets, Bank of Singapore, and Operations & Technology, this role harnesses data and design insights to seamlessly integrate technology with business processes, enhancing experiences for both client and front-office. As a key driver of digital excellence and delivery, the Product Owner plays a pivotal role in positioning OCBC Wealth Management as a regional leader in next-generation wealth solutions.

The role of the Product Owner in Digital Wealth includes:
  • Conceptualise product vision, communicate and manage product roadmap.
  • Execute product roadmap by actively building channel and product execution capabilities to deliver exceptional front office and client experience in Wealth Management.
  • Partner business leads, scrum master, engineers as well as external vendors (as required) to deliver digital agendas within scope, timeline and budget.
  • Manage relationships and communicate clearly with key stakeholders on project status, key risks and issues as well as maintaining of prioritised Product Backlog.
  • Responsible for development of project execution documentation, including defining user stories to facilitate clear communication of requirements, priorities, objectives/goals and acceptance criteria to delivery team.
  • Develop skills in cross functional collaboration and communication to effectively work with teams such as Wealth Management, Branch and Premier Banking, Consumer Secured Lending, Group Data Office, Customer Experience and Group Operations and Technology.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to inform decision-making and prioritize product features that maximize value and impact.
  • Develop technical understanding on how the various systems are integrated and what the best practices when it comes to product design to ensure stability, scalability, and extensibility.
  • Design and implement a target operating model, leading change management initiatives that encompass people, processes, and technology to drive sustainable digital transformation.
Key Deliverables
  • Design and develop innovative product mock-ups and intuitive user journey flows that enhance user engagement.
  • Presentation of product proposals, comprehensive impact assessment and strategic recommendations.
  • Develop detailed project plan outlining activities, milestones and key deliverables.
  • Provide regular and concise status updates on ongoing projects to ensure alignment and accountability.
  • Develop clear and actionable user stories for efficient implementation.
  • Deliver robust artefacts to support key activities such as testing, training, pre-go-live and post go-live support.

  • Have more than 8 years’ experience in managing wealth or digital products & services in Banking/Insurance industry.
