We’re currently looking for a high-caliber professional to join our team as Vice President, Finance Regulatory Reporting Analyst (Hybrid) (Internal Job Title: Finance Reporting Lead Analyst - C13) based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Finance Reporting Lead Analyst is a senior professional position responsible for driving the generation, analysis, and submission of reports to various constituencies based on requirements such as US GAAP, US Regulatory, and local statutory reporting, in coordination with the broader Financial Reporting Team. The overall objective is to apply in-depth disciplinary knowledge to contribute to strategic direction.

Responsibilities:
  1. Support the analysis and submission of reports to various constituencies (local regulators, SEC, Fed, OCC, etc.) based on requirements such as US GAAP, US Regulatory, and local statutory reporting.
  2. Assist with closing the books and sub-ledgers, including passing appropriate required adjustment entries and consolidating financials at the end of each accounting period.
  3. Instill operational discipline into existing team processes.
  4. Work with senior leadership on strategic planning, establishing guidelines, implementing controls, and executing strategic plans.
  5. Mentor and advise on directional strategy by analyzing subject matter and its application within role and the business.
  6. Assist with the implementation of policies and procedures.
  7. Serve as a technical mentor for an area within the business.
  8. Build and maintain a thorough understanding of related product reporting and analytics and utilize knowledge of systems and process flows to provide insight and recommendations on identified issues.
  9. Operate with a limited level of supervision.
  10. Exercise independence of judgment and autonomy.
  11. Act as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
  12. Assess risk when business decisions are made, ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations, and escalating control issues transparently.
Qualifications:
  1. 6-10 years of experience in Financial Services preferred.
  2. Global Project Management experience preferred.
  3. Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes.
  4. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  5. Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  6. Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal.
Education:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred.
