Job Summary

You will manage and develop a team of credit professionals responsible for a portfolio of credit relationships. Your role includes providing administrative oversight and fostering relationships with key internal stakeholders such as Corporate Banking (CB), Group Risk Management (GRM), Global Markets (GM), Internal Audit, and others to support the growth of RBC Capital Markets' loan book and trading business.

Job Description

What is the opportunity?

This role involves managing a team of credit professionals overseeing a portfolio of credit relationships, including multinational and large corporate lending. You will lead stakeholder engagement and ensure team compliance and high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities include:

1. Annual Reviews: Oversee timely completion and quality of annual reviews of credit relationships.
2. Data Integrity: Ensure accuracy of credit documentation and system entries.
3. Monitoring: Oversee reporting requirements and escalation procedures.
4. Delegated Lending Authorities: Ensure compliance with approval authorities through coaching.
5. Audit: Manage responses to audit and regulatory requests.
6. Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain positive relationships with internal teams and conduct regular meetings.
7. Coaching & Team Management: Develop and coach credit professionals, provide feedback, and stay updated on policies and industry trends.
8. Global Collaboration: Collaborate across time zones for seamless communication.
9. Other Responsibilities: Presentations, reporting, and process improvements.

What do you need to succeed?

• 5-8 years of experience in corporate lending, credit risk management, or client relationship management.
• Degree in Business or Finance; MBA or professional designations like CPA or CFA are assets.
• Strong financial analysis and credit documentation knowledge.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• People management and coaching experience.
• Ability to prioritize and perform under pressure.
• Familiarity with credit processes is an asset.
