Job Summary

You will manage and develop a team of credit professionals responsible for a portfolio of credit relationships. You will provide administrative oversight and foster relationships with key internal stakeholders, including but not limited to, Corporate Banking (CB), Group Risk Management (GRM), Global Markets (GM), Internal Audit, and other teams, to support the growth of RBC Capital Markets' loan book and trading business.

What is the opportunity?

Manage and develop a team of credit professionals responsible for a credit portfolio. Lead stakeholder relationships to support business growth.

What will you do?

Responsible for managing multinational and large corporate lending relationships, including:

  • Annual Reviews: Ensure timely completion and high-quality reviews of existing credit relationships, with regular coaching and feedback to team members.
  • Data Integrity: Oversee submissions to ensure accurate reflection of credit agreement terms and proper documentation review.
  • Monitoring: Oversee reporting requirements and escalation of breaches.
  • Delegated Lending Authorities: Ensure team compliance through oversight and coaching.
  • Audit: Manage responses to credit information requests from auditors and regulators.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain positive relationships with internal teams and conduct regular meetings to ensure high service levels.

Coaching & Team Management: Develop and coach credit professionals, provide feedback, and stay updated on policies and industry trends.

Global Collaboration: Collaborate across time zones to ensure seamless communication and task execution.

Other Responsibilities: Presentations, reporting, and process reviews to foster continuous improvement.

What do you need to succeed?

  • 5-8 years of experience in corporate lending, credit risk management, or client relationship management.
  • Business or Finance degree; MBA or professional designations (CPA, CFA) are assets.
  • Strong financial analysis, credit documentation understanding, and risk management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • People management and coaching experience.
  • Ability to prioritize and perform under pressure.
  • Familiarity with credit processes is an asset.
